FAQs

Yes, Fairview is a Medicare/Medicaid-certified facility.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services developed a rating system for nursing homes in 2009. The stars are based on the following ratings that are broken down into four areas: The overall rating, health inspection surveys, quality measures and staffing information.

Fairview is one of only thirty-five facilities in the entire country to have achieved a five-star rating across all CMS quality measurement segments. The rating can be seen online at www.medicare.gov under the link nursing home compare. A five-star rating means much above average. Only the top 10% of nursing homes in the State of Connecticut are eligible for the five-star rating. Fairview has maintained five-star overall quality since January of 2009!

This ranking validates the quality of care and the outstanding service that Fairview delivers through its dedicated, compassionate, and hard-working staff. Working together every day, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of our residents, by improving the quality of care and increasing the level of patient satisfaction.
