Billy Nelson, LNHA, MHA

Chief Executive Officer

Billy Nelson joined Fairview in June of 2019 with over 25 years of senior living leadership experience. He became a member of the Odd Fellows Fraternal Order in 2022 committing himself to our organizational values of Friendship, Love, and Truth. In his four years at Fairview, he has guided our organization through a historically complex pandemic. The Fairview Board of Directors recognized Billy’s accomplishments and appointed him Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He has guided our non-profit senior living community with skill, compassion, and integrity. His ability to lead with both strength and humility through times of adversity, identify organizational opportunities and propose solutions has enabled our 5-star community to remain stable through these challenging times. Billy has developed a high-performing team of intelligent, authentic, and hard-working individuals. His transparent and honest communication style has earned the trust and respect of our stakeholders. He cares deeply about our employees and residents, and his leadership initiatives demonstrate that. He is a visionary leader who is working diligently on Fairview’s strategic development plan with the goal of ensuring our non-profit remains solvent for many generations to come. Billy is the right leader for our organization at this time in our history as he seeks to connect our past and present with a bright and rewarding future. Billy received his bachelor’s degree from CCSU and Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Bellevue University.  He is a graduate of the CT Leading Age Leadership Academy and current member of the Leading Age CT Legislative Committee.  He belongs to the Odd Fellows Stonington Lodge and lives in Essex CT with his wife and two dogs. He enjoys leisure time with family, friends, and neighbors.  He is passionate about New Haven style “apizza” i.e. Frank Pepe’s.

Liisa Livingston, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Liisa Livingston joined Fairview in March 2022.  Liisa spent the early part of her career in public accounting at Blum Shapiro and PricewaterhouseCoopers.  She went on to become the CFO of a privately held, private label distribution company selling consumer products goods into the mass market sector.  After 12 years, Liisa spent the next part of her career doing contract work serving as a consultant resource or a full charge contract CFO for a number of entities, including a geriatric behavioral hospital.  During her work with the behavioral hospital, Liisa developed a passion for the not for profit sector and the senior demographic.  Liisa’s diverse background combined with her sharp financial acumen are key ingredients in Fairview’s strategic plan.  She is an engaging leader and critical thinker.  Liisa is valuable to Fairview’s future expansion project as our relatively young CCRC matures, rebalances, and refocuses.  Fairview is very fortunate to have this talented individual in such a critical leadership position.  

Elizabeth Weeks

Director of Independent Living

Elizabeth joined Fairview in 2009 and has developed into one of Fairview’s most integral and trusted members of the leadership team.  From hire date through 2020, Elizabeth’s primary responsibilities contributed to our 5-star rated health care center’s excellence.  She served as the Director of Admissions and then Director of Operations which allowed her to assist hundreds of family members, residents, and employees.  Her work ethic, adaptability, and intellect permeated our organizational culture.  Beginning in 2021, Elizabeth accepted the position of Director of Independent Living whereby she currently manages the daily operations of Thames Edge, Fellowship Manor and Grille92.  Elizabeth has been instrumental in enhancing the overall Independent Living experience our residents enjoy here at Fairview.  She initiated a positive culture change which revitalized our campus following the many challenges associated with the recent pandemic.  She ensures that our IL community is set up to have fun, relax and enjoy life.  Elizabeth is a member of the Odd Fellows Fraternal Order, Stonington Lodge #26 and a member of the Groton Rotary Club.  As a leader of a non-profit organization, Elizabeth believes it is extremely important to stay connected and give back to her local community.

Angela Brown

Director of Human Resources

Angela joined the Fairview family in the fall of 2022 as an experienced Human Resources director and transformative leader aligning business needs with the human factor.  She is transitioning from a successful career helping organizations and individuals within the manufacturing industry.  Angela is applying common themes of employee engagement into our senior living community here at Fairview.  Angela believes that employee recognition and retention will be critical to Fairview’s future success. She has begun implementing a strategic plan to create a unique, positive, fun culture for our employees to experience.  Angela recognizes that people are our most important asset and has expressed enthusiasm that she has joined an organization that is like-minded in becoming Southeastern CT’s premier senior living community for our residents and employees.

Amy Lombardo, MS

Assistant Administrator for Healthcare

Amy Lombardo also joined the Fairview team in the fall of 2022 having served the long-term care industry as a Social Work Director for 15 years.  Throughout her career Amy has worked with thousands of senior residents ensuring they were treated with dignity and the respect they deserve.  She believes that our seniors are a special treasure for our current generation to learn and be inspired from.  “Our residents gave their best so that our community, society and country could be at its best and it is an incredible honor to serve them.”  Amy brings exceptional leadership skills that fit Fairview’s mission of Inspiring others to live their best lives.  She is a compassionate, caring individual with a natural propensity to guide others.  The healthcare department heads and directors benefit greatly from Amy’s style and approach.  Amy is currently enrolled in the CT Leading Age Leadership Academy with an anticipated completion date of September 2023.  She will be pursuing her Licensed Nursing Home Administrator Certification at the University of CT in the fall of 2022.
