Health care services that make life easier here include temporary rehabilitation, assisted living services in your home, and the ability for one spouse to reside in a higher care setting (such as skilled nursing care) while the other spouse lives close by in the independent living setting. Also when you buy into our community, you will get a discounted rate should you need to be in our skilled nursing setting on a permanent basis.

Skilled Nursing Facility

FAQs

Yes, Fairview is a Medicare/Medicaid-certified facility.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services developed a rating system for nursing homes in 2009. The stars are based on the following ratings that are broken down into four areas: The overall rating, health inspection surveys, quality measures and staffing information.

Fairview is one of only thirty-five facilities in the entire country to have achieved a five-star rating across all CMS quality measurement segments. The rating can be seen online at www.medicare.gov under the link nursing home compare. A five-star rating means much above average. Only the top 10% of nursing homes in the State of Connecticut are eligible for the five-star rating. Fairview has maintained five-star overall quality since January of 2009!

This ranking validates the quality of care and the outstanding service that Fairview delivers through its dedicated, compassionate, and hard-working staff. Working together every day, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of our residents, by improving the quality of care and increasing the level of patient satisfaction.

Fairview provides physical, occupational and speech therapies. Therapy is provided by experienced, licensed therapists.
