Independent living at Fairview is designed exclusively for individuals aged 55 and over. Residents are able to choose between rental, apartment-style living and buy-in, freestanding homes. Enjoy beautiful views in a tranquil, riverfront settings with services and amenities to fit any lifestyle.
What makes independent living different?
The major difference between independent living and other retirement housing options is the level of optional assistance offered. Residents may choose to take advantage of various maintenance, daily living, and health care services as often or as sporadically they like. This is as opposed to an assisted living environment, where residents often require all of these services and more on a daily basis. However, the true beauty of Fairview retirement home is our ability to provide Medicare/Medicaid-certified skilled nursing care when you need it right on campus.

While you may never use the full continuum of care provided on campus, the peace of mind that comes in knowing that such health care services are available allows you to put your worries aside and truly enjoy life. Health care services that make life easier here include temporary rehabilitation, in-home assisted living services, and the ability for one spouse to reside in a higher care setting (such as skilled nursing care) while the other spouse lives close by in the independent living setting. Also, when you buy into our community, you will get a discounted rate should you need to be in our skilled nursing setting on a permanent basis.
