Billy Nelson, Executive Director

Billy joined Fairview in June of 2019 with over 26 years of healthcare experience including the past 17 years in healthcare administration, leadership and team development.  Prior to joining Fairview, Billy worked with several long-term care organizations.  Most recently he led Manchester Manor which is part of a CCRC known as The Arbors of Hop Brook located in Manchester CT.  Billy brings extensive knowledge of the rapidly changing healthcare field including, Post-Acute Care, Accountable Care Organizations (ACO), Preferred Provider Networks (PPN) and 5-Star leadership models.

According to Billy, healthcare leadership was a very personal career path chosen based on life experiences that impacted his family. “As a young adult, I learned important lessons by being an astute observer of healthcare delivery which affected both parents.  My education, professional experience and countless individuals have shaped my leadership skills and inspired me to develop teams of professionals vested in delivering the highest quality care possible.  After all, every resident/patient is someone’s mother or father and sister or brother.  I couldn’t be happier for the opportunity to work with the wonderful people of Fairview.  Our mission and values are perfectly aligned.”     

Outside of work, Billy enjoys having fun with family and friends, dining out, watching sports, jogging and eating lots of pizza.

Jamie Spencer, Chief Financial Officer

Jamie joined Fairview full-time in 2018 after serving as Virtual CFO for 2 years and being involved with Fairview in various consulting roles for more than 5 years. He has over 12 years of finance and accounting experience and is a forward thinker in the realm of aging services. Prior to joining Fairview, Jamie was a Manager in a national senior living services consulting practice where he focused on financial strategy, financial modeling, accounting, and transaction due diligence. He also has Big 4 accounting experience from his early career days. Jamie has an MBA and Master of Accounting degree from Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Professional Accounting and a BA in Finance from Northern Arizona University. When Jamie is not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, mountain biking, playing tennis, and giving back to the community.

Deb Morgan, RN, Director of Clinical Services

Deb was the Director of Nursing Services for over 10 years and started her career at Fairview in Staff Development. Deb has been a nurse for 39 years and has spent the last 21 years in long-term care. Prior to coming to Fairview, Deb worked as a Staff Nurse, Case Manager, Wound Care Nurse and Staff Development Coordinator.  Deb recently took on a new roll in overseeing major clinical programs to include Fairview's Guided Journey's Memory Care, our Cardiac Rehabilitation and our extension outpatient therapy site at Quiambaug Cove. When Deb is away from Fairview she loves her family farm, gardening and antiquing.

Elizabeth Weeks, Director of Administrative Services

Elizabeth has worked at Fairview for over 13 years in many different roles. Elizabeth came to Fairview from Pendleton Healthcare Center in Mystic with years of experience in admissions and customer service. "Fairview is a special place." When not at Fairview, Elizabeth enjoys spending time on her boat with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Sandra Hawes, Director of Independent Living

Sandra joined the Fairview team in July 2012 as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Thames Edge. She has worked in this industry for over 18 years, primarily in Continuing Care Retirement Communities and Assisted Living Communities.  Sandra has a BS in Marketing and a BA in Foreign Languages from Stonehill College in MA. She enjoys spending time with her family. "It was easy to make the decision to join Fairview. I was drawn by the excitement of the land development, compassion of the staff, impeccable reputation of a longstanding non-profit organization and the remarkable location. I look forward to working with you and assisting you in any way, as you settle into your beautiful new home."

Mary Stonely, Independent Living Coordinator

Mary started at Fairview in May of 2010. As the Fellowship Manor Coordinator, Mary oversees the day to day operations at Fellowship Manor. Fellowship Manor is our senior independent living community. "Early in my career, I worked in the sales department of a manufacturing company, as a customer service representative and application analyst. I left to raise a family and became very involved in my church parish. I volunteered my service in our parish outreach for the elderly and the homebound. I believe my work in outreach lead me to this job at Fairview. My favorite part of working for Fairview, are the residents I serve and my coworkers. The residents are always surprising me with wonderful stories of the past and educating me on the needs of the aging. My coworkers work together as a team to better the life of all our residents. It is a wonderful place to work. When I am not at work, I enjoy being with my family, singing in the choir and interior decorating."

Tricia Cunningham, Director of Community Relations

Tricia Cunningham first joined Fairview Odd Fellows Home of Connecticut in March 2013 to serve as the Director of Development and then rejoined the team in September 2018 to serve as Director of Community Relations.   Prior to joining the Fairview team, she served as President of the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce.  She began her Chamber career after graduating from the University of Rhode Island in 2000 and was hired as Manager of Membership.  She was then hired to serve as their president in 2006.  “I am thrilled to join this team of professional and compassionate caregivers.  The team at Fairview is truly impressive and I am honored to work beside such knowledgeable and dedicated individuals.”  

Stephanie Swap, Director of Employee Services

Stephanie joined Fairview in 2017 and has over 23 years of experience in Human Resources.  Prior to joining Fairview Stephanie worked as the Human Resources Director for another skilled nursing facility as well as in the insurance industry.  Stephanie was excited at the opportunity to work in a nonprofit environment, and to be able to work with employees who are dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to residents and patients.  “From the moment I walked in to Fairview I was struck by the friendliness of the staff and how engaged and happy the patients and residents are.  That’s a great hallmark of the quality of a facility.” Her focus is on making sure Fairview and attract and retain the highest quality staff in the area.  When she is not working Stephanie enjoys hiking and cycling with her husband and attending her son’s baseball games and daughter’s volleyball games.
